Day 2 – Favignana - Arrive in Favignana port and transfer to our Grand Hotel**** Approdo di Ulisse Resort & SPA in Favignana. It is an island and a commune of the Aegadian Islands, situated approximately 7 km west of the coast of Sicily, between Trapani and Marsala. The island is famous for its tuna fisheries and is now a popular tourist destination with frequent hydrofoil connections to the mainland. The island is famous for its caves of volcanic rock and the ancient fishing technique of trapping and mattanza (massacre) of blue fin tuna, originally used by the Arabs. Favignana is one of the few places in Italy where this is still done. Due to its volcanic nature, there are few beaches on the island; however, it is a popular site for scuba diving, snorkeling, and for day trips to nearby Trapani. (D) Days 3 - 8 - We will enjoy 6 full days of exciting scuba diving. (B & D) Day 9 – Transfer to Favignana port, have a safe return home, treasure the memories and… Grazie and arrivederci a presto!
